About Your Instructor

Krista Holland RYT 500 is a multifaceted teacher, frame drummer, and independent researcher. Krista's body of work and teaching draw from her in-depth practice and studies in the realms of Sacred Drumming and its ancient history and historical practice. Krista began her pursuit of the drum as a young adult studying drum set, world drumming, and percussion with master drummers in private, workshop, and academic settings. In 1995 Krista met her mentor and primary frame drum teacher, Layne Redmond, author of "When the Drummers Were Women." Krista apprenticed herself to Layne and her prolific teachings of the frame drum, ritual, myth, and ancient feminine drum history until Layne's passing in 2014. Krista is known for her unique playing style and her powerfully transformative teaching of yoga and sacred drumming. She teaches Sacred Drumming through online and in-person private classes, group workshops, immersions, and International retreats. Learn more @ www.sacreddrumming.com
